What types of classes do you offer?

Mindfit offers group exercise classes and personal training sessions designed to support your mental and physical wellbeing. We offer strength and conditioning, boxing, yoga, pilates, pre and postnatal and junior boxing classes. Classes run every day of the week at our studios.

How do I book a class?

MINDFIT uses TeamUp to manage all classes and personal training bookings.

To book a class:
1. Navigate to the 'Book a class' page or go directly to TeamUp https://goteamup.com/p/3608914-mindfitldn/ (https://goteamup.com/p/3608914-mindfitldn/)
2. Select the class you wish to book
3. Choose how you wish to pay - an introductory offer, a single class, a class pack or an unlimited membership
4. Login to an existing TeamUp account or create a new one using your email address
5. If you are a new customer there will be a few additional steps
6. Complete the payment and the booking
7. You are all set!

Question 3

What do I do if TeamUp won't let me create a new account?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes TeamUp gets a little confused and directs you to a log in page for existing customers, rather than allowing you to register a new one. If this happens, click the reset password button, add the email address you wish to use and you get an email with reset instructions, that will then allow you to create an account.

What level of fitness do I need to have?

We welcome all fitness levels at Mindfit. You do not need to have any particular fitness level or prior experience. We champion exercise as a transformative tool for health as well as an enjoyable, positive and socially connected experience that goes beyond aesthetics. Mindfit is a really inclusive and welcoming space. Come and check us out before attending a class, or you can sign up for our introductory offer of 3 classes for £30.

Question 7

Can I use the gym equipment at my own pace?

Yes absolutely. Check out our timetable to see what times we are open for 'Open Gym'. You do need to book and pay for these sessions.

Question 8

Which classes are suitable for pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

All of our classes (Elevate, Resilience, Power, Yoga & Pilates) are suitable for pregnancy if you are continuing with your usual fitness routine. Trainers will be able to offer alternative exercises where needed and we advise you to listen to your body and exercise to an intensity that feels best for you and your energy levels.

If you are pregnant and don’t currently have a regular fitness routine, but would like to do some exercise, we recommend Resilience (strength class) as it is a low impact class where exercises can be easily adjusted to your needs. Strength training also has many benefits for pregnancy and beyond and may help with protecting against back issues and impacts of extra demands your body is undergoing during pregnancy. 
Later down the line when you have a larger bump, we don’t recommend Pilates as this involves a lot of laying down and movements that are not so easily adapted.

After pregnancy, when you feel ready to return to exercise we have a specialist post natal class called Reconnect, where babies are especially welcome and you will be training with a specific focus on your needs, post-partum.

Question 9

Can I have an extension on my class pack expiry date?

Unfortunately we are unable to accept pack extension requests. We receive a lot of requests to make exceptions to membership policies and feel it is important to respond to all members with consistency. 
As difficult as it is to say no, and as much as we sympathise with your personal circumstances that have led you to this request, membership policies are vital for the functioning of any business in the service industry.

We are very sorry for the potential disappointment caused as we truly care about our members. If we can support you in any other way, please let us know.

Question 10

I am unable to attend my booking due to illness or other unforeseen personal circumstance, can I transfer it to another class?

Unfortunately we are unable transfer credits for any unattended bookings as we have a 12hr cancelation/rescheduling policy for all classes. We receive a lot of requests to make exceptions to membership policies and feel it is important to respond to all members with consistency. If you are booked into a class but aren’t able attend and aren’t charged, it prevents another member from attending and a loss of revenue to the business.

As difficult as it is to say no, and as much as we sympathise with your illness or personal circumstance that has led you to this request, membership policies are vital for the functioning of any business in the service industry.

Question 11

Can I roll over unused credits from a previous month?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately we are unable to roll over unused credits from one billing period to another. We receive a lot of requests to make exceptions to membership policies and feel it is important to respond to all members with consistency. Monthly plans are the most cost effective way to purchase class credits at Mindfit. This is made possible by the policies around the membership which make it a more reliable and predictable avenue of cash flow to the business. If you required more flexibility, we recommend another membership option such as drop-in or class packs.

How do I choose which personal trainer is right for me?

All our personal trainers are highly qualified and provide an excellent service. But, we recognise that personal training is exactly that - personal. The best thing to do is get in touch and we will be happy to discuss our personal training options and which team member has availability and might be best suited to you and your goals.

Question 14

Do you have toilets and showers?

Yes we have two modern and accessible toilets and showers. In the shower you can find shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Just bring a towel as we do not provide those.

Do you have baby changing facilities?

Yes we have baby changing facilities at the Mindfit studio. You are welcome to use them before, during and after a class. We are also breastfeeding friendly.

Are you baby friendly?

Accepted Answer

At Mindfit we are parent friendly, child friendly, baby friendly and breastfeeding friendly. We offer classes specifically designed for new parents and birthing parents where our pre & post natal specialist trainers will get you back to into exercising and movement at pace that works for you.

You are also welcome to bring young children and babies to any of the other classes as we recognise that sometimes you simply don't have a choice. We provide a lots of space and a welcoming atmosphere, but children remain your responsibility during the class.

The Mindfit studio is easy to access with buggies and you can bring them inside. We also have baby changing facilities.

Question 17

Do you have parking?

We do not have onsite parking at Mindfit but we are well served by public transport and we are really close to Crofton Park and Brockley train stations. You can park on the nearby streets for free, but please be aware it can be a busy area.

Do you have air-conditioning?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do. The Mindfit studio was completed in 2023 and so everything is brand new and really modern. The space is really bright and airy but when necessary we do turn on the air-conditioning to keep our members and staff cool.

We also have facilities to top up your water bottles as regularly as you need to.

Question 19

I have left my water bottle or other possession. Do you have a lost property?

If you have left something behind within the last week, it is likely to be in a cubbyhole with other lost items. If it was longer, it is likely to be in our lost property box in the basement. Do feel free to ask a member of the team to check in either one of these spots next time your in. We will throw out all lost items every 3 months.
